Intramural Sports Group This group will give students a chance to play different sports throughout the year.  Sports will be announced as they are decided. Free None Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3pm-4pm  Rm:  GYM
Math Counts Team  In Math Counts, students spend time doing math games, math activities, and preparing for the Math Counts competition. There is also a field trip to the state competition during the school day! Free None Wednesdays, 3pm-4pm  Rm: P205
MESA The purpose of MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) is to increase the number of ethnic minority and all female students who pursue coursework, advanced study and possible careers in mathematics, engineering, and science areas. Students in MESA attend field trips and after-school meetings that consist of fun educational activities, competitions, and industry and academic guest speakers.  Free Contact Mr. Hale by Oct. 14th, 2016. National Junior Honor’s Society (NJHS) NJHS is an organization for 9th grade students who love to serve their community and who have a 3.8 GPA or higher. It looks great on college applications! Invitations to apply are sent during 4th quarter of your eighth grade year and new members are inducted each May. Science Olympiad  Great opportunity to dig into science and become an expert on a specific field that interests you.  You will also have a chance to compete in events and win medals on both the regional and state levels. Free Take Test Starts in October; Wednesdays, 3pm-4pm  Rm: G101  
Snow Blitz Students are able to take skiing or snowboarding lessons at Brighton during the winter season.  There are 2 sessions that have 4 lessons, and the bus is covered in the cost of this activity.  The bus leaves after school and will return that evening.  Go to the Salt Lake County Website for more information. $202 with rentals $145 without rentals Register at the Salt Lake County Website 1st Session: 1/12, 1/19, 1/26, 2/2  2nd Session: 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7
