We hope you've been having a great summer.

We're looking forward to welcoming our students back soon on August 21, 2023 for 7th graders and August 22, 2023 for our 8th/9th graders!

See below for our CMMS lunch schedules S1 23-24 based on your teacher.

Our main office will be open Monday - Friday from 8 am - 3 pm during the summer break.

We will be closed on June 19, July 4, and July 24.

Additionally, dates of interest for the upcoming 2023-24 school year are listed below.

The last week of school is almost here! Our daily bell schedule will be slightly adjusted for the last week of school due to various activities. The last day for 7th graders is June 1, 2023 and the last day for 8th/9th graders is June 2, 2023. See below for the various schedules:

We will be having our Copper Mountain clubs sign-up during lunch! Come visit the various club tables on Thursday, September 8 and Friday, September 9 and sign-up for an after school club to participate in!

Important dates  

August 9 - Open House 10:00-2:00 

Students and guardians are welcome to come into the building, walk the halls, and find their classrooms. 

August 17 - 7th Grade Orientation Day 8:00-11:55

Welcome to 7th grade! The first day of school for 7th graders is all about finding your classrooms and learning about Copper Mountain Middle School. This day is only for 7th graders.

August 17th -  Vaccination Clinic 5:00-7:30

Vaccinations provided Community Nursing Services to help get 7th graders up to date on immunizations.

Back to School Night  6:00 - 8:00

Come meet teachers, sign up for PTSA, and learn about your students’ classes this year. 

August 18th - First day of school for 8th and 9th grades 8:00-3:00

Welcome back to school! This will be a 7 period day (the Mon-Wed schedule) for all students to have a chance to meet all their teachers.

August 19th - Late Start Friday 10:00-3:00

School starts at 10:00 on Fridays.

Opportunities to be involved at CMMS

We would love to have you join our PTSA and or our School Community Council. Both parent organizations rely on parent volunteers and support students and staff. There will be more information regarding these organizations at our Back to School Night.

Job Opportunities as CMMS

We are looking for great people to join our team! We have openings for a school counselor, special education teacher, hall monitor, classroom assistant and cafeteria assistant. If you are interested please reply to this email or call the school at 801-412-1200.
