Dear Parents,
On November 18, 2025 the Jordan Board of Education approved a boundary change impacting middle and high school students that currently reside in the Midas Creek Elementary School boundaries. Beginning in the 2026-27 school year the following changes will be implemented:
-
All middle school students who live in the Midas Creek Elementary School boundary will attend Oquirrh Hills Middle School (12949 S. 2700 West, Riverton, UT 84065).
-
All high school students who live in the Midas Creek Elementary School boundary will attend Riverton High School (12476 S. Silverwolf Way, Riverton, UT 84065).
-
Bus transportation will be provided for all eligible students.
-
The Board has authorized any CURRENT student in the Midas Creek boundaries a guaranteed, one-time, permit to the middle or high school that they would otherwise have attended.
-
Students wishing to remain in their current middle or high school, or students who will be entering middle or high school will need to apply, but acceptance is guaranteed.
-
If a parent/guardian does not apply for a permit, it is assumed that the student will be attending the new boundary school for the following year.
-
Permits are active for all grades in the school, however, should a student accept a permit, and then later leave the school, the permit is relinquished. All other permit conditions, including revocation, will also apply.
-
Students attending a school other than their boundary school will be responsible for their own transportation.
-
Parents of current 6th-11th grade students who wish to take advantage of this offer must submit a permit application for the 2026-27 school year before February 6, 2026 at planning.jordandistrict.
