Jordan School District wants to know about the learning environment in your school and classes.  Your input will help the district and your school support student learning and growth.  Your responses are completely confidential.  School personnel will only see everyone’s responses together as a group; they will not be able to see individual student responses.

As you take this survey, think about your experiences as a student.  If you are not sure what a question means, please raise your hand and ask your teacher.  Please answer every question.  You will have an opportunity to respond to questions about your school, principal and assistant principals.  You will be able to answer questions about your teachers for the 2023-24 school year.  Finally, if you have worked with a counselor, library media coordinator, school psychologist or other support educators, you will have an opportunity to answer a few questions about them as well.

Hi Colts!

A friendly reminder that this Tuesday, November 14, 2023 is Career Day at CMMS!

Both our 7th and 8th grade students should be at their self-selected job shadow on Tuesday, November 14 and complete their Job Shadow Assignment through their CCA (7th) or History (8th) Canvas Course.

Our 9th graders will be having a JATC Expo that day where they will get to learn from current JATC students about their experience. We will have an adjusted bell schedule that day and only one lunch as listed below.

Hi parents and students,

We would like to thank all of you that attended our in-person Parent Teacher Conferences last night. We enjoyed meeting with you and your students and celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Copper Mountain Middle School. Tonight is a virtual night for parents to meet with teachers through Zoom. Zoom conferences will be available from 4:00pm to 7:30pm.

Welcome to Parent Teacher Conferences week! We are looking forward to welcoming you into our building and talking with you about your student(s)! See below for more details about parent teacher conferences and our PTSA book fair.

Wednesday, September 27

  • In person conferences will be held from 4:00-7:30. Conferences are held in an open house style - stop by the classrooms of teachers you want to visit, no appointment necessary!
  • PTSA bookfair - stop by the media center to pick up some books and benefit our school! Students will also have the opportunity to visit the book fair during their LA classes and after lunch Wednesday and Thursday. If you can’t attend the fair, you can shop the school’s book fair online - orders ship directly to your house and shipping is free for book orders over $25.   • Boo to the Flu - Community Nursing Services will be at CMMS offering flu shots. Please bring your ID and insurance card!
  • Celebrate our 10 year anniversary! - CMMS has been educating students for 10 years, and we are celebrating with cake! You and your family are invited!
  • Join the PTSA - PTSA volunteers help make our school a wonderful place to learn and work. They would love to have you join them! PTSA members will be available to answer your questions and get you signed up!
  • Translation available - volunteers from the Herriman High School Latinos in Action class will be available to help with Spanish/English translations.

Thursday, September 28

  • Conferences will be held over zoom tonight. Zoom conferences will be held on a drop-in basis, no appointment needed. Zoom links for all teachers will be posted on our website and emailed out to parents Thursday.
  • Students will have a 7 period class schedule today.

Friday, September 29

  • No school for students today - We’ll see you Monday!

Copper Mountain Middle School has a couple of vacant positions that we are looking to fill as soon as possible. Whether you currently have a student attending with us or not, we would love to have you join our staff! The available positions are:

Counseling Center Office Assistant:
Assist parents and students with registration and other school supports. 25 hours a week. Ability to speak Spanish preferred. Click here to apply (this position is listed as "Classroom Assistant I PT").

Nutrition Cafeteria Assistant:
Assist in preparation and distribution of student lunches in the cafeteria. 20 hours a week. Click here to apply.
